Candidate fights into debates weeks before election

CHICAGO | Mayoral candidate Patricia Van Pelt-Watkins was first excluded from a televised debate on WTTW last month and then again on WGN-TV on Jan. 27. She stood her ground, along with about 100 of her supporters, rallying outside the WGN-TV North Side studios on the day of the debate.
