On Aug. 28, at the celebration of the March On Washington, former President Bill Clinton was at one of his favorite pastimes, which is the "great manipulator" of the English language, when he said, "But a great democracy does not make it harder to vote than to buy an assault weapon."
I believe Marlin Richards from Hammond and many others have a highly overrated opinion of Bill Clinton. They seem to have forgotten that he was an impeached president.
I'm wondering if others are as confused as I am about Marlin Richards' Dec. 12 letter. Is he saying people have forgotten Clinton's indiscretions or that he was a great president?
How quickly they forget about Bill Clinton's indiscretions. What I remember is a surplus when he left office. Also, the economy doing fine.
In response to Gary Ziolkowski's Sept. 14, I have just one question. Is he a woman? He speaks as if he actually shares a female sentiment. A few do have men's names (Jeri Ryan, Glenn Close, etc.), you know.
