I don't have much income left for Lake to tax
This is my third and hopefully the last comment on the proposed Lake County income tax.
Let Lake cut spending rather than raise taxes
Lake County Jail needs money? Serve harsher penalties, then the guilty might think twice about breaking the law. Most are repeat offenders.
If state can't help Lake County, we won't help them
Lake County Council, make a final decision that there will not be a county tax in Lake County. We are overtaxed and get nothing in return.
If we get income tax, let us off hook for debt
Indiana state Sen. Ed Charbonneau – and other reps outside of Lake County – have continually pushed for a Lake County income tax, crying that it is unfair we are the only county without one.
