Soaring school taxes could drive people away

The District 158 School Board has too much power. What are we thinking, letting a school district raise our taxes 23 percent in a time when we cannot afford to live in Lansing now. We cannot let this happen!

LANSING | Members of the Lansing Coppermuggers prepared pancakes and sausage for a pancake breakfast held at Thornton Fractional South High School. The pancake breakfast was held to benefit the music programs in School District 158 and their upcoming trip to perform in Washington D.C.

Lansing Lions offer free student vision screening

The Onesight Vision Van (IRIS) and the Lansing Lions Club recently invited Lansing schoolchildren who had failed their school's vision screening test to come out and receive free vision screening and one pair of glasses, if needed, donated by Onesight.
