CHESTERTON | The Duneland School Corp. expects to collect less money than originally planned from last year's successful tax increase referendum, but the superintendent said there will be no shortfall.
The Chesterton High School Band Boosters will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon today at the Porter VFW, 1290 Wagner Road. Cost is $7 per person.

CHESTERTON | During Tuesday night’s Duneland School Board meeting, Principal Shawn Longacre presented 17 members of the intermural choir from Westchester Intermediate School along with music teacher Dawn Flash, who said the choir meets weekly to practice and performs throughout the year.
CHESTERTON | A widespread drop in property assessments has caused the Duneland School Corp. to scale back on the additional revenue it expects to collect as a result of this year's referendum.
I find it ironic that Duneland school officials are now concerned about the potential 3,000 to 4,000 vehicles a day going to and from the new Porter Hospital!
