My son has Dutch heritage, we're proud of it

I read the Oct. 21 letter, "Maybe absence of Dutch names isn't so bad," by Gil Lyzenga, of Dyer. He was disappointed that in the list of young writers, there were no names with Dutch heritage. Well I would just like to correct him.

Maybe absence of Dutch names isn't so bad

I was disappointed that in the list of leaders under 40 and again in the list of young writers, there were no names with a Dutch heritage. No "Vander,"  no "Hoek."
