Officials identify body as Gena Chiodo

Calumet City police chief Edward Gilmore and Lake County coroner Merrilee Frey confirmed the body found near Lowell Saturday is that of Gena Chiodo.

Cal City Police, charity grant child's wish

The Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Calumet City police teamed up to grant the wish of 10-year-old David Hill, who is legally blind and has hydrocephalus. Hill wanted to be a police officer and a pastor, so Calumet City police made him its honorary chaplain.
