Shame on whoever took flags from veterans' graves

I, like many other families, for Memorial Day, placed a flag on my husband's grave to honor his service to our country. Many flags were on the graves of veterans at St. Mary's Cemetery in Crown Point. However, on the Wednesday after Memorial Day, someone had removed all the flags.

Can't our country even make our own flags?

While reading the Times, I came across the article about miniature American flags placed at each seat at Soldier Field before the Bears game on the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
