EDITORIAL: Selling abandoned Gary schools an essential step for city, education

Abandoned, dilapidated buildings make a poor foundation for the type of development needed in a struggling city such as Gary. And crumbling, festering infrastructure can only drag down school systems already suffering from diminishing budgets and other educational challenges.
