Porter County hears high-speed rail pitch

VALPARAISO | A 38-minute high-speed rail commute to downtown Chicago was part of the incentive offered to encourage the Porter County Council to approve a $20,000 contribution toward the cost of an environmental impact study of a route from Chicago to Columbus, Ohio.
