Gas prices across Northwest Indiana have risen near the $4 a gallon range, but should peak soon and end up lower than they were last summer.
Gas prices have been dropping and could be 20 to 25 cents lower by Halloween.
Motorists in Northwest Indiana and the Chicago area are able to put a little bit extra in their stockings this holiday season as a result of a decline in fuel prices. Many stations around Northwest Indiana in recent days sold fuel that cost less than $3 a gallon.
