Resident lauds good deeds of accident witnesses
While attending the Munster High band concert, our car, in the MHS parking lot, was "bruised" by another car in the process of leaving. This was witnessed by a man and a woman, who called Munster police when they noted the car was proceeding to leave.
Kindness of strangers helped me when I fell on the street
On Aug. 11, I was on my way to the beauty shop, and at the corner of Jefferson and Franklin streets I took a tumble into the street. I thank those young men who were working on the street, and the woman who left her car running, for coming to my aid. It was much appreciated.
Good Samaritan teens brightened the day
While shoveling my driveway recently, two teenagers driving past my house stopped their car and hopped out with shovels in hand. They told me I did not need to be shoveling and that they would finish cleaning off the snow.
