Toys for Tots brightens Christmas for 1,700 local children
The local Toys for Tots program was completed last week. This year, even with the slow economy for many people, they still dug deep into their pockets and donated a record number of toys.

Youth groups help make Kiwanis food drive a success
This year's Hobart Kiwanis Food Drive was the most successful ever, with many groups of youngsters helping pick up 2,300 bags donated and placed on family porches. Among the helpers were the Hobart Middle School Builders Club, Key Club, JROTC and the Brickie boys basketball team.
