The Jeorse Park Beach in East Chicago is empty last week. Halfway through this year's 97-day beach season, Jeorse Park Beach I was closed to swimmers 31 times, more than any other local beach. The adjacent Jeorse Park Beach II was closed 20 times, making it the second most closed beach.
