On the 80th anniversary of John Dillinger's death, the Hammond museum with his name was shut down. The museum is moving to Crown Point, closer to the scene of perhaps his most infamous crime — his escape from the Lake County Jail. That's where it belongs.

Bowling fundraiser will benefit homeless women veterans

A Homeless Women Veterans Bowling Fundraiser will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 5 at Stardust Bowl, 3925 E. U.S. 30, Merrillville. This event is sponsored by Doll Inc. and The Smith Residences, who provide housing for female veterans who are homeless.
