Dillinger Museum to be featured on Travel Channel
HAMMOND | The Travel Channel’s "Mysteries at the Museum" show will explore the story of John Dillinger’s infamous 1934 escape from the Lake County Jail in Crown Point. The episode, which airs at 8 p.m. Thursday, showcases the wooden gun that helped Dillinger get away from the “escape-proof” jail.

Bowling fundraiser will benefit homeless women veterans
A Homeless Women Veterans Bowling Fundraiser will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 5 at Stardust Bowl, 3925 E. U.S. 30, Merrillville. This event is sponsored by Doll Inc. and The Smith Residences, who provide housing for female veterans who are homeless.
