VALPARAISO | After a little last-minute haggling over price, Valparaiso's Redevelopment Commission voted Thursday to hire a consulting team to develop a corridor plan for Ind. 49.
VALPARAISO | With development beginning on the east side of Ind. 49, the city is considering hiring a consultant to develop an overall plan for the corridor between U.S. 30 and U.S. 6.
VALPARAISO | The city now has a plan for beautifying its U.S. 30 corridor "front door," but, with an estimated price tag of $56.66 million, Planning Director Craig Phillips warns it's not going to happen overnight.
VALPARAISO | The U.S. 30 corridor planned sailed through the approval process before the city's Plan Commission and the council on Monday.
VALPARAISO | A plan for improving the appearance of the city's "front door" will be presented to the plan commission tonight.
VALPARAISO | Now that the city has some concepts for improving the U.S. 30 corridor, it is going after a grant to pay for it.
VALPARAISO | The vision of the U.S. 30 corridor through Valparaiso is taking shape, and it could include a pedestrian bridge, towers, landscaping and open space to highlight Salt Creek -- rather than hiding it.
