WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP | After missing the opening days of the fair while I did some reporting in Lake County, it was good to get back in time to see the Porter County Fair and all the sights, smells, sounds, smells, tastes, smells, schmaltz and ... what the heck is that smell anyway?

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP | Today is the final day of the 163rd Porter County Fair, and it's the last day before some of you have to enter a corn dog withdrawal clinic.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP | As I carefully clip the final re-admission stamp for this year's 162nd Porter County Fair from the back of my hand, let's look back at some of the precious memories I will be trying to forget until the 163rd fair.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP | The Porter County Fair is a big event with a lot of little, touching moments, like the frequent trips to the ATM to touch your bank account for more ride money.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP | This is Kevin Hannon's fair, but the ghost of Lonnie Steele still haunts the Porter County Expo Center. It's almost like you can still hear his voice.
