Desperate times indeed call for desperate measures in some cases. But a sign of good leadership in politics is tackling a desperate measure with thoughtfulness -- acting in the best possible interest of taxpayers.

In response to a recent letter to the editor, I am eager to set the record straight. I respect her opinion and her right to express it. However, I would like to refer to her criticisms to aid her and the public to understand the position of the beautiful, historic Court House on the square.
