CROWN POINT | A Gary man pleaded guilty to reckless homicide two months after the Indiana Supreme Court tossed out his alleged murder confession, according to court records.
INDIANAPOLIS | Police officers attempting to obtain a confession absolutely cannot mislead a suspected criminal into believing that he or she will not receive a fair trial due to race, the Indiana Supreme Court ruled Tuesday.
INDIANAPOLIS | The Indiana Supreme Court agreed Monday to decide whether a Gary man voluntarily confessed to murder, or was improperly influenced by a Gary police detective who told him a black man couldn't get a fair trial in Crown Point.
CROWN POINT | Prosecutors filed murder charges against Gary resident Mclynnerd Bond Jr., 25, in the 2007 shooting of Kadmiel Mahone, also of Gary.
