CRETE | The Village Board appointed Dan Taylor as trustee to serve out the remaining two years on Daniel Bachert’s term on Monday. The move came just one day before the general election that will replace at least two of the trustees who appointed Taylor.

This whole redistricting thing seems like it is taking place in a backward fashion. I understand that the redistricting process needs to take place, but wouldn't it make more sense and be fairer to the voters, assuming that is the goal, to perform the adjustment before the November elections?
