A Crown Point orthodontist will lose his Texas-based dental license as a result of his federal health care fraud conviction, officials said Wednesday.
AMARILLO, Texas | A Crown Point orthodontist was sentenced Tuesday to more than four years in federal prison and ordered to pay about $1.8 million in restitution for health care fraud, Texas federal prosecutors said.
Federal agents have seized more than $100,000 from a Crown Point orthodontist's Texas practice and allege the doctor garnered more than $1.6 million in alleged fraudulent Medicaid claims in that state.
