MUNSTER | Northwest Indiana Bancorp, the parent company of Munster-based Peoples Bank, posted a 14.2 percent bump in profits after completing its acquisition with Hammond-based First Federal.
NorthWest Indiana Bancorp, the holding company of Munster-based Peoples Bank, grew its profits by 8 percent in the first quarter and pushed its assets under management past the $1 billion threshold.
First Financial Bancorp, the holding company for First Financial Bank, reported earnings of $0.27 a share in the second quarter.
The Michigan City-based parent of Horizon Bank said Wednesday its net income was up 59 percent to $4.9 million in the second quarter.
Horizon Bancorp said Thursday the profit earned in the first three months of this year was the highest quarterly total since the institution opened in 1873.
Net income for Horizon Bancorp rose 23 percent in the fourth quarter as the financial institution earned more money from loans and reduced its provision for loan losses.
