INTERIM PUBLISHER'S LETTER
We are already experiencing unseasonably warm days and the incomparable beautiful evenings that signal early summer. For me, this has always been a season of industrious home improvement projects---this year it’s windows, every single window in the house to be exact---followed by a race to g…
PUBLISHER'S LETTER
I follow the same routine each time I start writing this letter: I look at what was going on last year. Golf, the Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs and White Sox were all in full swing in May last year with dreams of Cup, Pennants and Championship trophies all dancing in my head.
PUBLISHER'S LETTER
I thought I might somehow be feeling nostalgic this year because in January 2012, Julie and I were in Kauai, Paradise for a vacation we had looked forward to for years. And though the trip exceeded our expectations I had almost forgotten about it with the non-stop drama this winter. Everyone…

Shore magazine's Letter from the Publisher, Dec/Jan/Feb 2013
The fall in Northwest Indiana never fails to surprise, and this year was no exception. The success of our One Region program in Northwest Indiana and our Best of the Region publications that unite the whole Lake Michigan area continues to amaze me. This year's One Region meeting was sweet, w…

Shore magazine's Letter from the Publisher, October/November 2012
Wow! Where does the time go? It seems like only yesterday that Julie and I were gearing up for Memorial Day and to get the summer started. I blinked and now Labor Day is just a memory. While I’m always sad to see summer go, I don’t think we let much grass grow under our feet as it was a fun-…
Shore magazine's Letter from the Publisher, August/September 2012
Memorial Day weekend for our family—and that is our work and home family—was all about the first 73rd Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid (the sponsors encourage us to say the title exactly that way) held at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, Michigan. While I am not a seasoned vete…
Shore magazine's Letter from the Publisher, MayJune 2012
Here's what our Shore Facebook fans (2,100+) learned about during the last five days: We celebrated National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day; folks out there are learning to live with Parkinson's disease; the Senate race in Indiana is closer than it's been in decades; Sawyer Garden Center is alr…
PUBLISHER'S LETTER
Between traveling for work and pleasure and mild weather, this winter is a blur. But I want to hit some highlights, because there have been many this January and February.
PUBLISHER'S LETTER
Julie just shakes her head at me on many of the things I do, and with some of my Christmas rituals and actions there is probably much justification. As many of you know, the Christmas season is my most favorite of the year and I cannot get it going fast enough. Lights go up on the first warm…
