Aylesworth Elementary Student Council holds penny wars
PORTAGE | During the month of February, Student Council members at Aylesworth Elementary school in Portage helped those who need it the most: other children fighting childhood cancer. They raised funds by holding a “Penny War Challenge” at the school.
Jones students shower peer with pennies, love
Students at Jones Elementary School gather in the school gymnasium Tuesday morning to present a check for $6,594 to fellow student, Ronnie Wilkins, 11, a fifth-grader being treated for leukemia. Ronnie was diagnosed in November 2011, and has begun chemotherapy.
