INDIANAPOLIS | The Indiana Court of Appeals has rejected a request for time off the 54-year prison term issued to a Porter County man who convinced his girlfriend to molest a child and send him photographs of the act.
Before Emmie Stowers joined 4-H, she spent her days at the Porter County Fair looking up admiringly at the over 250 photography projects that coated the entire east wall of the 4-H Exhibit Hall. Now, during fair season, Stowers has a space on that wall to call her own.
Tri-Creek School Corp. is restricting photography at school events to only those with permission -- parents and grandparents, for example -- to do so. The district is acting like an overprotective parent.
