The Times' Region Roundball Rumble is an annual exercise in statistics. From counting basketballs for the 3-point shootout, sponsored again this year by Vincennes University, to distributing programs and purchasing popcorn, there are far more numbers involved than what appears in the box score.
Weeks before it truly began, my first Region Roundball Rumble got off to a dramatic start.
