Fall is definitely in the air. Pumpkins and scarecrows are starting to show up on doorsteps and leaves are beginning to change color and fall. Pretty soon, Halloween Peeps will make their annual appearance.

At the end of April, Schererville and its Park Board hosted the Pennsy Greenway Trail groundbreaking. Just six months later, almost everyone present that day watched Oct. 15 as Town Council President Hal Slager cut the yellow ribbon and officially opened the bike trail.
SCHERERVILLE | The Schererville Central Lions Club will host Oktoberfest from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7 at the St. John Township Center, 1515 W. US Highway 30 (jsut west of US 41).
Schererville Lions Club is collecting items for troops overseas. Thanks to donations received from our community over the years, the club has been able to send hundreds of packages.
