Deceased actor Sherman Hemsley's longtime friend can proceed with his burial and running his estate, a Texas judge ruled Friday over the objections of his half-brother from Philadelphia.

Isabel Sanford and Sherman Hemsley, who performed on the television sitcom "The Jeffersons," pose for a photograph in May 1998 in New York. Hemsley died in July at age 74. Sanford died in 2004 at age 86.
