Social Media Policy
Schools in the state now have the authority to search their students’ social media accounts and Thornton Fractional Township High School District 215 hopes to use that information to stop violence before it starts.
CALUMET CITY | Students of the Thornton Fractional Township District 215 high schools could be required to provide school officials with passwords to their Facebook or other social networking site accounts, under school policy changes being considered.
Anyone who spends any time on social media platforms -- namely Facebook -- knows the sites are a conduit largely for promotion of one's own views, life celebrations or other preferences.
PORTAGE | A Portage Township Schools committee will be working on developing a social media policy for students and employees.
