Church hosts gala Mardi Gras event and raffle
St. Bridget Church will host its Third Annual Mardi Gras Dinner-Dance from 6 to 11 p.m. Feb. 5 in the parish hall, 107 Main St., Hobart. The $15 ticket price includes dinner and entertainment; a cash bar will be available.
Visclosky honors Hobart student for community service
Francesca Polizotto, Hobart Middle School student council president, spoke about community service at U.S. Rep. Pete Visclosky's town forum at the Lake County Public Library's Hobart branch.
Correction
In some editions Jan. 12 and 13, the incorrect time and cost was given for a Feb. 5 Mardi Gras Dinner-Dance at St. Bridget Church in Hobart. The event will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. and the cost is $15, with a cash bar. The Times regrets the error.
Patriot Guard honors military members
Hobart American Legion Post 54 recently hosted Char Sills, of the Indiana Patriot Guard, who addressed Legion and Auxiliary members.
