PORTAGE | A bustling steel trade has driven a 25 percent increase in tonnage handled at the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor.
Shipments at the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor have risen 40 percent at the shipping season's midway point, largely because steel cargoes have more than doubled so far this year to feed the thriving automotive sector.
WASHINGTON, D.C. | The St. Lawrence Seaway reported that year-to-date total cargo shipments for the period March 22 to May 31 were 8.1 million metric tons, down 12 percent over the same period in 2012.
