We only have a few weeks left in the school year and summer will be here. The City of East Chicago, Mayor Anthony Copeland and the East Chicago Parks and Recreation Department are announcing an exciting, safe and fun-filled Spring to Summer Program.
Mayor's Team Up Clean Up begins in East Chicago
East Chicago Mayor Anthony Copeland’s Team Up and Clean Up kicked off Saturday with a citywide Adopt-a-Block program in collaboration with various churches, organizations, residents and schools. The first area to jump-start this effort was the Freedom Church at 4802 Olcott St.
State of the City address set for April 3 in East Chicago
Mayor Anthony Copeland and the city of East Chicago will be hosting its annual State of the City address April 3. Copeland will address the public to discuss achievements in the city in 2012 and reveal plans for this year. The speech will be accompanied by a brief presentation.
