BLOOMINGTON | Portage's Tori Bliss faced several opponents in defense of her state championships in discus and shot put Saturday at the 38th Girls' IHSAA Track and Field State Championships. But her biggest opponent was her ankle.
Three-time state track and field champion Tori Bliss of Portage sustained a severely sprained left ankle in a physical education class Wednesday, leaving her status for the June 4 state meet up in the air.
