Two Six Gang
HAMMOND | Oscar Cosme, of East Chicago, has pleaded guilty to a murder charge in a superseding indictment involving a federal racketeering case against several members of a Chicago street gang.
HAMMOND | Reputed Two Six gang member Frank “Pumpkin” Perez Jr. pleaded not guilty to several felony charges Tuesday in U.S. District Court.
HAMMOND | The government has agreed not to seek the death penalty against two of the alleged gang members arrested last year in connection with a decade-old slaying, federal court records show.
EAST CHICAGO | After 10 years, federal authorities have charged members and associates of the Two Six street gang with the murder of East Chicago’s Julio Cartagena in 2003.
U.S. Attorney David Capp announced that a Superseding Indictment was returned Nov. 20, 2013, charging four members of the Two Six gang with charges of murder, racketeering, kidnapping and use of a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime and crimes of violence.
