Census: Lake County sees largest 2012 population decline in the state
Lake County saw the state's largest population decline in 2012, while Porter County experienced just a fraction of the growth it has seen in the past decade, U.S. Census estimates released Thursday show.
Gary may request census redo
The city of Gary is exploring its options for appealing the 2010 census count that found the Steel City's population had fallen to 80,294, a 22 percent decline since the last census 10 years ago.
