"Bleeding Borders," an acrylic from 2008, is one of the paintings by Mexican-American artist Sergio Gomez that will be on exhibit next month at the Union Street Gallery in Chicago Heights.
"Dead of Paradise," an acrylic from 2008, is a piece of artwork produced by Sergio Gomez, whose solo exhibit is planned for next month in Chicago Heights. He is an instructor at South Suburban College.
Lena Schmidt, of Homewood-Flossmoor High School, won for best of show in sculpture for her work, "Lost in Shadow."
