Wind Chill Advisory
Several school districts in Northwest Indiana issued a two-hour delay for Thursday morning in anticipation of wind chills that are expected to dip below zero.
A wind chill advisory and flood warning are in effect for LaPorte County, with wind chills dipping to 20 below zero and lake-effect snow bringing even more precipitation to the rain-swollen Kankakee River.
The region's first blast of brutal winter air arrived early Tuesday morning, with wind chills dipping to 15 degrees below zero.
