HAMMOND | As an adjunct instructor at Kaplan College Hammond Campus, Carlyle Edwards found out that in the process of closing down the Merrillville Campus, they were going to move all of that furniture to the Hammond Campus and get rid of the furniture at the Hammond Campus.

Although mergers and consolidations  historically have been talked about and acted on in the private sector; there has been an increasing amount of talk about mergers and consolidations in the public sector. The talk centers on "cost savings," "efficiencies of service," etc.
