A clear sign of summer winding down is the return to the classroom of Crown Point Community School Corp. students Aug. 21. With the conclusion of the Lake County Fair today, the Crown Point Cruise returns to the downtown square from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
With the Lake County Fair in town until Aug. 10, Thursday’s Crown Point Car Cruise will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wittenberg Village, 1200 E. Luther Drive.

I am really having a hard time believing this year is almost over. Can we just stop time? This Friday will end the school year for Crown Point Community School Corp. students and staff. Christmas vacation begins Dec. 23.
The Crown Point Community Library, 122 N. Main St., will host two free holiday concerts. The Crown Point High School Bellavoce and OYP Choral Groups will perform holiday music at 6 p.m. Wednesday, ending the program with a holiday sing-a-long.
