The Ostermann Memorial in front of Meyer's Castle in Schererville is in memorial to Henry C. Ostermann, vice president and field secretary of the original Lincoln Highway Association. Ostermann was killed on the highway June 8, 1920, in Iowa. It is scheduled for renovations.
