Homan Elementary School students touch the gold medal sent to them by Gunnery Sgt. P. Ernesto Aquino, who won it in the 50-meter backstroke at the Wounded Warrior Trials after receiving encouragement from the Schererville youngsters. The U.S. Marine served three tours in Iraq and two in Afghanistan.
