White House officials will visit Northwest Indiana today to take part in two forums.
Jay Williams, former mayor of Youngstown, Ohio, and now White House czar for recovery of the auto industry, will address a combined One Region, One Vision -- Quality of Life Council luncheon. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter also will speak at the event.
Later today, U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will visit Merrillville to address educators, business leaders and public officials.
Video from both events will be streamed live on nwi.com. Williams will appear about noon and Duncan at 5 p.m.
