Victor Oladipo and Will Sheehey both scored 14 points to lead No. 1 Indiana to an 87-51 win over Coppin State on Saturday night.
The top-ranked Hoosiers (8-0) overcame poor shooting at the start of the game and pulled away from the Eagles (1-6). Indiana missed its first nine shots and didn't take the lead until Christian Watford's 3-pointer with 9:25 left in the first half.
That gave Indiana a 14-11 lead, and the Hoosiers never trailed again. Watford and Remy Abell both added 10 points to the winning effort.
Taariq Cephas led Coppin State with 13 points, and Michael Murray had 9 points and 12 rebounds, marking his sixth straight game with double-digit rebounds.
The game was Coppin State's first against a team ranked No. 1. The Eagles fell to 1-48 against ranked teams and 0-25 in games against Big Ten opponents.
No. 3 Michigan 74, Bradley 66: Freshman Nick Stauskas scored 22 points in his first start, and Michigan (7-0) survived a late run to beat Bradley (5-2). Glenn Robinson III, a Lake Central graduate, scored 13 for Michigan.
No. 5 Louisville 69, Illinois State 66: Russ Smith scored 24 points, and Peyton Siva added 20, including four 3-pointers, to lead Louisville (6-1) to a win over Illinois State (5-2).
No. 25 New Mexico 77, Indiana State 68, OT: Kendall Williams scored a season-high 24 points to help New Mexico (8-0) beat Indiana State in overtime. Jake Odum led Indiana State (4-2) with 25 points.
Butler 67, Ball St. 53: Rotnei Clarke scored 15 points, and Butler defeated Ball State. Andrew Smith added 12 points and Khyle Marshall scored 10 points and had six rebounds for the Bulldogs (5-2). Jesse Berry was the only Ball State in double figures with 12 points.
Xavier 63, Purdue 57: Semaj Christon scored 25 points to help lead Xavier (6-1) to a win over Purdue.
Terone Johnson had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Ronnie Johnson had 12 points for the Boilermakers (3-4), who missed all 17 of their 3-point attempts, leaving them scoreless from beyond the arc for the first time since 1992.
Illinois-Chicago 50, Northwestern 44: Josh Crittle's go-ahead basket with 53 seconds remaining helped UIC to an upset of Northwestern. Crittle finished with a team-high 13 points, and Gary Talton's two free throws with 29 seconds left sealed the win for the Flames (6-1). Drew Crawford scored a game-high 18 points for the Wildcats (6-2).
Colorado State 79, Evansville 72: Colton Iverson added his fourth consecutive double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds and Colorado State (6-0) held off Evansville (4-3). D.J. Balentine led Evansville with a career-high 26 points.
Stony Brook 66, Eastern Illinois 52: Marcus Rouse came off the bench to score 16 points and propel Stony Brook (6-2) to a win over Eastern Illinois (3-6). Josh Piper was the only Eastern Illinois player in double figures with 14 points.
Loyola 77, Furman 50: Devon Turk came off the bench to score 19 points, including five 3-pointers, as Loyola (6-2) defeated Furman (2-5).
SIU-Edwardsville 71, Chicago St. 57: Jerome Jones scored 17 points, including two free throws to put his team ahead for good with 10:43 left in the game, and SIU-Edwardsville (2-3) defeated Chicago State (2-7).
Western Illinois 63, UMKC 63: Ceola Clark tied a career high with 27 points, including five 3-pointers, to help Western Illinois (5-3, 2-0 Summit League) hold off UMKC (3-4, 1-1).
