When: 12:30 p.m. today.

Where: Gentile Center.

Valparaiso will win if: It improves on the low post. The Crusaders were 9-of-32 from the 3-point line in a 63-42 loss Thursday at Illinois-Chicago. VU attempted just 22 shots inside the arc.

Loyola will win if: It improves on the defensive glass. The Ramblers held Butler to just 35 percent shooting from the field Thursday, but Loyola allowed 18 offensive rebounds. Those opportunities led to a 24-6 advantage on second-chance points and helped the Bulldogs win 64-60. The Ramblers roster includes three local players: Chesterton's Abby Skube (6.8 ppg), Portage's Lisa Samplawski (2.5) and Marian Catholic's Caitlin Pauley (1.0).

Notes: VU is 15-2 in the series, winning the first 11 meetings. ... The Crusaders are 7-2 at the Gentile Center. !~ Jim Hunsley
