What's at Stake
Valparaiso: The Crusaders are still in search of their first Pioneer Football League win of the season and are looking to break a six-game losing streak. They have not scored more than 14 points in a PFL game.
Jacksonville: Two games behind the trio of Butler, Drake and Dayton with three games to go, the Dolphins look to keep their faint PFL title hopes alive with a win. They need two victories to register the program's first back-to-back winning seasons and third in history.
Key Matchup
Valparaiso offensive line vs. Jacksonville DL Shawn Lewis: The Crusaders figure to have their hands full with Lewis and company. VU has not scored an offensive touchdown in its last two games and Lewis keys a Dolphins unit that leads the country in sacks per game at 3.98.
Players to watch:
Valparaiso: LB Javon Welch. The redshirt sophomore had 12 tackles and an interception against Marist. He ranks sixth in the PFL in stops.
Jacksonville: QB Josh McGregor. The prolific passer has thrown for 23 touchdowns, leading the PFL's most potent passing attack with an efficiency rating of 154.52. He needs 416 yards to become JU's career total yardage leader and 435 yards to break his own record for passing yards in a season.
