It's been a tough few days for me. As many of you know, I was injured in the second half of last Thursday's Seton Hall game. I suffered a deep bone bruise on my right knee. It happened when our team was making a run into the second half against the Pirates. After I was injured, I tried to go back in and play, but had to pull myself out because I knew that something didn't feel right.
The next day, I had an MRI, which revealed the injury. I was lucky because initially, we all thought it was going to be something much worse. I count my blessings that although I may have to sit out a couple games, I am going to be back. I was in street clothes sitting on the bench for the St. John's game on Sunday and my status for today's game at Louisville probably will be a game-time decision.
It was tough sitting on the bench against St. John's. It was really agonizing the last couple minutes of the game because I wanted to be out there and in the game. I was proud of my teammates; we fought hard in the one-point loss, but I can tell you this, watching from the bench was excruciating.
Following our game against Louisville, we'll have a week off before we play Pittsburgh (Feb. 24) in what will be our second-to-last home game. Our final home game will be against Connecticut on March 3.
As I have mentioned to all of you this year, I can't believe how fast the time here at Notre Dame has gone by. I hope to see you out our next couple games.
Thanks for reading and as always, Go Irish!
