Valparaiso will win if: The Crusaders can overcome a brutal rash of injuries and play a flawless game on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Eric Hoffman, running back Gabe Ali-El and receiver Andrew Cassara all left last week's game against Butler with injuries and are considered game-time decisions.
Drake will win if: Quarterback Michael Piatkowski keeps doing what he's doing. The fifth-year senior is arguably the best signal caller in the Pioneer Football League and averages nearly 300 yards per game while completing more than 62 percent of his passes.
Notes: Drake leads the all-time series 16-3 and has won the last eight meetings ... The Bulldogs beat Valparaiso 50-0 at Drake Stadium last season ... Jake Hutson's two rushing touchdowns last week gives the redshirt freshmen three on the season.
