Valparaiso (0-1) at Youngstown State (1-0)

When: 3 p.m. today.

Where: Stambaugh Stadium, Youngstown, Ohio.

Radio/Internet: WAKE-AM (1500)/valpoathletics.com

Youngstown State will win if: The Penguins should win this game with relative ease. The question is by how much. Youngstown State pulled perhaps the biggest upset in the first week of the season by knocking off Pittsburgh. The Penguins won 77-13 against the Crusaders last season in what was largely considered a down year for YSU.

Valparaiso will win if: Winning on the scoreboard probably isn't a reality for the Crusaders this week, but gauging success will come by limiting turnovers, stopping the Penguins on third-down and winning the field position battle. The Penguins simply have too much scholarship talent.

Notes: Youngstown State has been listed as high as a 57-point favorite for Saturday's game. ... Valparaiso starting defensive back Alan Porter suffered an arm injury in last week's loss to St. Joseph's that is expected to sideline the senior for the rest of the season. !~ Paul Oren
