Morehead State (2-4, 2-1) at Valparaiso (1-5, 1-2)
When: 1 p.m. today.
Where: Brown Field.
Radio/Internet: WVUR-FM (95.1, Valparaiso); valpoathletics.com.
Valparaiso will win if: The Crusaders limit big plays early and Eric Hoffman makes big plays late. Valparaiso has fallen behind quickly in each of their five losses this season, due in large part to big plays from the opposition. If the defense can hold strong in the first half, Hoffman may be able to continue to deliver in the latter stages of the game.
Morehead State will win if: The Eagles consistently get deep into Valparaiso territory. Morehead State has scored on 20 of 22 trips to the red zone this season, including 17 touchdowns. If the Eagles have success moving the ball down the field, they'll likely continue that trend.
Notes: Morehead State leads the all-time series 16-3 and has won the last six contests. ... Valparaiso defensive end John Guliford has notched a sack in each of the last three games. ... Sophomore Alex Green is tied for sixth in all of FCS football with an average of 11.2 tackles per game. -- Paul Oren
