HAMMOND | Heading into today Class 2A state championship game between No. 2 Bishop Noll (26-0) and No. 4 Park Tudor (25-2), here are some oddball points of view for breaking down this game.

Do not, I repeat, do not wager any cash on my points of view.

Money points: Eli Lilly donated tons of money for buildings at Park Tudor's luxurious north side campus. Noll, on the other hand, has had a few diabetics in its school. Two points for the Panthers.

Love the game: Park Tudor has won seven boys state tennis team titles and the Lady Panthers have won six. Give Noll three points on this alone. John McEnroe didn't hoop. Adonis Filer does.

Best nickname: Park Tudor's Yogi Ferrell is going to Indiana University and the kid is fantastic. But Yogi? Really? Is he going to be eating overpriced nachos inside Conseco Fieldhouse when the Panthers need a big shot?

Wheeler took the fork out of his mouth last year and I believe Noll's guards are better. Hey Boo-Boo this is going to break even. Yogi will get his spoonfuls but not an entire meal.

Dialing long distance: The Panthers nailed five 3-pointers in the opening quarter against top-ranked Forest Park in the semistate and finished with nine bombs in their 57-45 win.

Warriors eat garlic for breakfast and breathe heavy in your perimeter defense. Don't use any Right Guard. Scream whenever Park Tudor shoots a trey. Give Park Tudor, well, three points in this category.

The luck factor: Yes, the Panthers will sleep in their fancy homes and not a hotel. Yes, Park Tudor was here last year and that should be worth something. But basketball is a numbers game and one digit screams out.

Park Tudor has won an unlucky 13 straight games. Noll has won a dominating 26 straight. Give the Warriors three points here.

Point differential: Noll was fourth in Indiana with a 19.9 margin of victory. Park Tudor was eighth at 17.2. Give the Panthers two points here because they never played North Newton.

Assistant coaches: Park Tudor's April McDivitt-Foster did win the Indiana Miss Basketball award at Connersville in 1999 and now she's coaching the fellas. Noll's Howard Ullrich doesn't want to wear the suit and tie he'll wear today.

Miss Basketball or Mr. Clothes Horse? Give Noll a point here.

Best student section: Come on. Noll has a bottle of ketchup, Pac-Man and Jesus. Not even close. Give the Warriors two here.

So here is my line because of these very important factors. Noll wins by two. And take the under.
